Narrative: Milton Police while working the Office of Highway Safety Fourth of July DUI mobilization stopped Detwiler for exceeding the posted speed limit by 22 miles per hour. Milton Police observed Detwiler throw out a cigarette or cigar from the vehicle prior to pulling over to the shoulder. Milton Police smelled the odor of burnt marijuana in the vehicle driven by Detwiler. Detwiler admitted to smoking and then throwing out the marijuana prior to pulling over for the police. Detwiler was given tests and then placed under arrest for DUI (drugs). Detwiler was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and then processed and released to family pending court at a later date.
